COVID-19 – Corona Virus Update
Hanuman Hindu Temple remains closed from SATURDAY 21 MARCH 2020 until such time that it is safe to do so

The public health has advised that all in the UK should avoid ‘non-essential’ social contact and ‘unnecessary’ travel

The UK Chief Scientific Advisers and Kelly O’Neill, Director of Public Health for the Borough of Hounslow stipulated that we should avoid gatherings ‘small or big’ including ‘faith groups’

Communication

• The Priest will continue temple duties behind closed doors
• You may request prayers to be performed by priest.  Please send request by mail@dycuk.org or WhatsApp: 07466334961
• Please do not telephone temple unless it is very urgent

• All “unnecessary” visits to friends and relatives should cease
• If one person in any household has a persistent cough or fever, everyone living there must stay at home for 14 days
• Washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water / or use Sanitiser
• Use a tissue to cover your cough / sneeze than throwing the tissue in a bin.

COVID-19 – Corona Virus: FURTHER UPDATE
As per the current Government guidelines, the Board of Trustees have taken the following decision:

1. All functions at the Temple remain CANCELLEDuntil such time that it is safe to do so
2. Temple remains open for DARSHAN (Prayers) ONLY
3. Crowding & waiting OR any other group activities at the Temple is prohibited
4. Please wash hands with soap and water prior to entry to the Temple. Please carry your own hand sanitizers.
5. Those who are unwell MUST NOT visit the Temple.
   • Any visitors who have cough, fever, cold or other such symptoms will be requested to LEAVE the Temple
6. The Priest will NOT engage with devotees OR distribute any Prasadam OR Teertham

The wellbeing of visitors to the Temple is of the utmost importance to us; we request all to co-operate and follow the above guidelines

Mr Johnson said everyone in the UK should avoid “non-essential” travel and contact with others to curb Corona Virus.
The PM said “drastic action” was needed as the UK approaches “the fast growth part of the upward curve” in the number of cases.

He told Londoners to pay special attention to the advice as the virus is spreading more rapidly in the capital than elsewhere.

The key new government measures are:

• Everyone should avoid gatherings with friends and family, as well as large gatherings and crowded places, such as pubs, clubs and theatres
• Social isolation – Those with the most serious health conditions must be “largely shielded from social contact for around 12 weeks”
• All “unnecessary” visits to friends and relatives in care homes should cease
• If one person in any household has a persistent cough or fever, everyone living there must stay at home for 14 days

As per Public Health England recommendations, all planned large congregation events at the Temple are CANCELLED including Todays Anagha Vratam until further notice.

Devotees with the following symptoms:

• Cough
• Difficulty in Breathing
• Fever
• Runny Nose / Sneezing

Are requested –  DO NOT visit the temple.

The Temple remains Open for All however, Large gatherings OR Congregations will NOT be Permitted

Preventative Measures

• Washing your hands often whilst at the Temple – with soap and water / or use Sanitiser
• Use a tissue to cover your cough / sneeze than throwing the tissue in a bin.  Catch It, Bin It, Kill It

Please help us reduce the risk of infection and potential harm.

In view of the prevailing Corona Virus situation, all programs and travels of Pujya Sri Swamiji in March 2020 stand cancelled. Visit to Delhi, Hyderabad (Yugadi), Guntur and Eluru also stand cancelled.
Sri Swamiji instructs all Ashramas and devotees not to hold any mass participation events.

Sri Swamiji urges devotees to adhere to guidance and instructions given by medical professionals and government authorities and exercise utmost caution to avoid corona virus
